It was such a wonderful afternoon at the shop with local author LynDee Walker and fresh lemonade by Z&Z's West Point Squeeze!

LynDee chatted with readers about her books, signed copies, and shared about her writing and stores. Fans of psychological thrillers had plenty to talk about, and it was so nice having her spend the afternoon with us!

Z&Z's West Point Squeeze kept everyone refreshed with their fresh squeezed lemonade throughout the afternoon!

Our $1 Book Sale was a great success, bringing many book lovers to browse hundreds of discounted titles. Shoppers enjoyed searching through tables, bin and boxes filled with books. We were also excited to welcome Swirled Soda Bar, whose specialty drinks were a huge hit with visitors throughout the day. The response was so strong that they sold through their supplies earlier than expected! 

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to support the event. We had a wonderful turnout and look forward to hosting another book sale this fall. 

We were excited to welcome local author Bruce Bracken and his wife Mary Jo to the shop to sign copies of his book, Death on Gwynn's Island. Readers enjoyed chatting with Bruce about the local settings and characters featured in his novel, making the event especially meaningful for those familiar with the area. It was wonderful to see both longtime supporters and new readers stop by to meet the author and pickup a signed copy. We hope to have Bruce back in the fall when his next novel is released!

Coastal Crumbs was set up outside with their delicious treats! They created the perfect pairing for an afternoon of books and browsing!

We were excited to welcome Carol Maloney-Scott to the shop to sign copies of Adventures of City Girl, The Funeral Date, The Parent Feud, The Wedding Bells, Nobody Tells Lia Anything, and Something Molly Can't See. Guests enjoyed meeting Carol and getting signed copies of her novels. Surf's Up Lemonade was set up outside serving fresh-squeezed lemonade in a variety of flavors. Thank you to everyone who joined us for a fun afternoon of books and lemonade!!

It was a very fun afternoon having C&F Bank and TURBO's Snowballs at the shop! The first 50 customers received $5 toward their purchase courtesy of C&F Bank, and the community showed up to support local shopping. Families enjoyed browsing for books, relaxing under the umbrellas, and cooling off with colorful snowballs on a beautiful day!

We were excited to welcome author David Reid Brown to the shop for an afternoon of books and poetry. David signed copies of his books, Relatables, Sophia's Songs and Psalms From the Sea: Operations while guest enjoyed delicious food from Sabor Jalisco Food Truck. We look forward to welcoming David back to the shop in the future as he completes and publishes more of his poetry collections.
